ACCESSIBILITY Services
University Center & Special Events understands that at times each person will have unique needs and special requests. To ensure we can best accommodate special requests, we ask that you please contact our office 24-hours in advance. Please contact our administrative office at 979-845-8901.

Entrances
All entrances to our facilities are equipped with automatic door openers or sliding doors. ADA wheelchair accessible ramps are also available at each entrance.
Parking
Accessible parking spots are available in the University Center Parking Garage across the street from the Memorial Student Center for a nominal fee.
Elevators
MSC & Rudder Tower are accessible via elevators.
Restrooms
All restrooms in our facilities are equipped with at least one accessible stall. We also provided family-friendly restrooms on two levels of the Memorial Student Center. Please see the “Lactation Area” page for more information regarding family-friendly restrooms.

Lactation Area
The lactation area can be found next to the Honor Entrance in suite 1407 on the first level of the MSC. Each lactation room is equipped with a chair and ottoman, a flat surface table, electrical outlet, small trash dispenser, and lockable sliding door. The shared lobby space houses a sink, soap and hand towel dispensers, a changing station, shared refrigerator, and a larger trash dispenser. Keys to the lactation area may be checked out at the MSC Information Desk, Sunday through Saturday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to the close of the facility.

In addition, family friendly restrooms are available in two locations in the MSC: In the first level Respect Lounge or on the second level across from the Bethancourt Family Grand Ballroom. Each restroom comes equipped with handicap accessible stalls, a bench, and changing station. Both areas are perfect for individual, family, or handicap accessible use.
Hearing Impaired Systems
Don’t miss a minute of your event! Several UCEN spaces are equipped with assisted listening systems. We also have systems available for rent
CAMPUS Services
Our Rudder Theatre Complex staff provides a full range of event services to numerous areas on campus. Clients must reserve the event space with the appropriate campus department.
